Professor Aminollah Nikoghbali entered Shiraz Medical School in 1969 (1348 in the Iranian calendar) and graduated in 1977 (1356). He has over 35 years of experience in education, research, and clinical practice. Some of his valuable contributions include changing the cataract surgery method to extracapsular extraction, implanting intraocular lenses, applying laser treatment for retinal diseases, using laser (Viag laser) to remove secondary cataracts and posterior capsule opacification, performing iridectomy to prevent glaucoma, among many other achievements.
